Welcome to
Xenola Wellness is a restorative sound and ritual practice based in Santa Ynez, California, rooted in beauty, ancestral wisdom, and collective care.
Through immersive sound baths, private sound therapy sessions, and grounding sensory experiences, Xenola invites you to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that are asking to be held. Each offering is designed as a space of softness, presence, and renewal ~ a place to settle the body, quiet the mind, and reconnect with your own inner rhythm.
About Allison
I've spent much of my life telling stories.
As a director and filmmaker, I've always been fascinated by what lies beneath the surface. The experiences that shape us, the wounds we carry, and the moments that invite us back to ourselves. Over time, that curiosity expanded beyond storytelling and into healing.
My path to sound healing wasn't a straight line. It emerged through seasons of personal growth, caregiving, spiritual exploration ~ and a deepening desire to understand the relationship between the body, the nervous system, and our capacity for restoration. Along the way, I discovered the profound impact that sound, vibration, ritual, and intentional presence can have on our well-being.
Today, I blend my training in sound healing with the same qualities that have guided my creative work for decades: deep listening, intuition, empathy, and a reverence for the human experience. My approach is both grounded and personal, drawing from contemporary understandings of the nervous system while honoring ancestral wisdom and healing traditions that have endured across cultures for generations.
Xenola was born from that journey. Named in honor of my ancestor whose life was cut short too soon, this work is rooted in remembrance, restoration, and the belief that healing begins when we are given space to reconnect with our most authentic selves.
It is an honor to hold that space for others.

Sound healing is one of humanity’s oldest wellness practices. For thousands of years, Indigenous cultures around the world—including Native American, African, and other ancestral communities—have used drums, rattles, voice, bowls, and rhythmic vibration to restore balance, connect with spirit, and support emotional and physical well-being. These traditions understand the body not as separate parts, but as an interconnected system—where sound, breath, memory, and energy move together. At Xenola Wellness, we honor these lineages by weaving their teachings with contemporary instruments and intentional sound practices.
Modern science is beginning to affirm what ancient cultures have always known: vibration affects the body at a deep level. Frequency and resonance can influence the nervous system, support relaxation, shift brainwave states, and help release stored tension. Systems science recognizes that healing is not purely mechanical—it’s relational, emotional, energetic, and environmental. Sound healing sits at this bridge. It invites the body to recalibrate naturally, encourages spaciousness in the mind, and supports the kind of restorative rest that often gets dismissed in our fast, analytical world. While not a medical treatment, sound healing offers a powerful complement: an ancestral technology of harmony, presence, and deep remembering.
